What got you into the business in the first place?

Advertising was the last place I expected to be. I started working for a local family of auto dealers in Delaware. I moved back to Florida when my mother became very ill in 1995. When she passed away in December 2000, I decided I had some unfinished business with my first love (my now Husband) and decided to move back to Delaware in March 2001. I called my former employer and told him, he said just to call him when I got back and he would have a place for me. I had no idea that place would be his Advertising Manager of his 7 Dealerships. It was the best move I made in my entire life and owe it to him for believing in me.

Who was a big influence in your career?

Fred Hertrich (Hertrich Family of Automobile Dealerships)

What was your most embarrassing moment in this business?

I will never forget when I was in the car business and Sterling Marlin (Nascar Driver) walked in asking to see the owner and I was giving him a hard time and asked him who he was. His name didn’t mean a thing to me.

Is there a great client story you’d care to share?

Being responsible for introducing the Hertrich Family to their off-site sales events at the Delaware Fairgrounds, which are their largest profitable sales events.

Do you have a method of coming up with ideas and solutions for clients?

I just always try to think as if it was my money I was spending.

What talent do you wish you had?

Curt Van Loon’s. LOL.

If you had to live on a desert island, what would you miss most?

Family and Friends

What’s your favorite sports team?

Atlanta Braves (used to watch them every night with my dad)

What frustrates you the most?

Tell us about your pets?

My pets are my only kids. I have an almost 9yo Rotty named Star, a 1yo Shih Tzu named Oliver, a 3yo independent cat named Misty and my 10yo Whitney my beautiful Cockatiel.

What was growing up like for you?

I had one of the best childhoods growing up, I just didn’t realize it at the time. My father was in heavy construction and we moved so many times, I couldn’t possibly tell you how many schools I attended. My parents were the best anyone could have. My dad was the best man that ever lived, they broke the mold after him. My mother was a stay at home mom, so I had the best of everything. I was the baby in the family, so I was what some called Spoiled blah blah blah..

What’s your favorite TV program?

Two & 1/2 Men, American Idol and NCIS are my favorite.

What do you do for a good time when you’re not working?

Spend time with my friends, shopping and beach/pool time.

What are your favorite internet sites

Facebook, Google.
